I remember the text – HOLLY IS ENGAGED! You see, Holly holds a very special place in my heart. She is the little sister of my best friend Courtney and feels like a little sister to me. I remember when I learned that Chris came around; the smart, handsome guy in the Coast Guard. When the engagement happened I immediately starting thinking about their wedding photos. I dreamed of taking them, there was one tiny problem-we were booked. I tell ya, I love all of my brides but always want to be available for family friends. Thankfully, and very gratefully they CHANGED their wedding date. Oh yeah, that was my second favorite phone call to get ;).
Holly lives in Massachusetts, so I don’t get there very often, but it’s a favorite spot for me. Her parents are like my adopted parents and as her dad shared with us, “we like to keep our business in the family.” I love this family and am very excited to see how Holly will thrive being with Chris.
So they made me feel super VIP – flying me in for the session and back in one day (since it’s eight hours away in a car). I am so grateful the weather was amazing and we got to spend quality time together. I can truly say these two are a great fit and adorable. Their wedding is this fall and we can’t wait to go back to MA and introduce Peter to the amazing site Cape Cod is!! Lobsta’, Chowda’, and our Mass family, the Mellos. We love you and can’t wait to see you soon! xo
