This Longwood Gardens engagement session is an engagement session I will always remember. Engagement sessions are composed of a beautiful location, a lovely season, outfits to coordinate, and a happy couple. I bring the magic and create images that couples love. As a photographer, one of the first decisions we make is the date and location – I must find the perfect venue for the couple in the appropriate season that they love.

When I work with out-of-state couples, being flexible is very important because travel plans can change so quickly or challenges can arise. We had rescheduled a few times but I had the most amazing engagement session planned with them! I love Kevin and Ashely, they are amazing people with big hearts and fantastic style!

Long story short our Longwood Gardens session was cut short at the gardens because of the weather. As we were walking out and brainstorming fast – Kevin said “We love wine, how about we find a vineyard and BAM – we found a stunning local vineyard that was so magical. WOW! I think about how being creative and positive is such a blessing, because if we had just given up we would have had some pretty photos, but nothing as magical as the session I created with them.

A few takeaways to keep in mind from this sweet couple:

  1. Stay positive in challenging weather
  2. Be flexible if a date needs to change
  3. Embrace new ideas with locations on the fly,  If we go to a few places it gives you amazing variety!

I am head-over-heels with this couple and can’t wait for their Farm at Eagle’s Ridge fall wedding!
