One of the things I value most as a York PA high school senior photographer is creating an experience that feels seamless, personal, and stress-free — for both seniors and their parents. Sheila’s summer senior session was a perfect example of that.
Sheila is a York Catholic High School Class of 2026 senior, where she shines as both a cheerleader and a track star. Her mom booked the session and shared that she loved how organized, trustworthy, and prepared I was throughout the entire process. This peace of mind is so important during an already busy senior year.
Capturing Her Childhood Home
We began Sheila’s session at her family’s home, which was absolutely stunning. The historic charm and colorful flowers made her portraits feel warm and personal. I loved that we were able to capture her childhood home — a reminder of her roots before she steps into an exciting new phase of life.
Starting at home helped Sheila feel comfortable right away. It set a relaxed, confident tone for the rest of the day.
A Beautiful Outdoor Location at York College
From there, we headed to York College, using three thoughtfully planned locations in total. The willow trees and creek offered a peaceful, natural backdrop and added variety to her gallery.
I provided location recommendations ahead of time and carefully managed our schedule. Sheila had plenty of flexibility and still made it to her other appointments that day without stress.
Style, Personal Touches, and Editing
Sheila’s style was clean, natural, and relaxed with a boho feel. She wore three outfits, including her running cleats, which added a fun pop of color and reflected her senior sport.
Sheila also shared how much she loved my editing style, describing it as clean, classic, and custom. I take great care in editing each session so portraits feel timeless and true to every senior.
Meaningful Conversations and Big Plans
Beyond the photos, spending time with Sheila was inspiring. We talked about faith, standing strong in your convictions, trends, favorite foods, and what it means to be confident while remaining humble.
Sheila has big plans to move to the Midwest after graduation, following in her mom’s footsteps to study law. I have no doubt she will do incredible things.
