Newborn Portraits | Eloise

March 3, 2026

Welcoming a newborn into your home is one of the sweetest, most fleeting seasons — and baby Eloise’s session was the perfect reminder of why I love documenting these early days for families here in York, PA.

An In-Home Newborn Session

There is something so meaningful about photographing a baby in the space where their story is just beginning. Eloise’s session took place in their gorgeous family home, surrounded by hand-painted murals, heirloom details, and photographs from their travels. Her nursery was filled with warmth and personality — the perfect backdrop for relaxed, organic family portraits.

And of course, we can’t forget the spunky puppy who proudly joined in. The original baby always deserves a moment in front of the camera, too 🐾

From Maternity to Newborn: A Beautiful Continuation

When Eloise’s mom first reached out during her pregnancy, I was thrilled. We documented her maternity session at Hershey Gardens, surrounded by blooming roses and soft summer light. Those images were stunning on their own — but seeing them complemented by newborn portraits in their home made the story feel complete.

There is something so special about telling the full journey: anticipation, waiting, and then finally holding your baby in your arms.

Thoughtful Details That Made This Session Unique

Sweet E wore the most darling custom monogrammed sash for a few portraits — a timeless detail that made the images feel personal and heirloom-worthy. We incorporated fresh flowers as a nod to her mother’s rose-filled maternity session, tying everything together beautifully.

The result? Soft, elegant portraits that feel both elevated and deeply meaningful.

Why You Should Schedule Your Newborn Photographer Early

If you are currently expecting and searching for a newborn photographer in York, PA, here’s my biggest piece of advice: book early.

I recommend reserving your newborn session at least 4–5 months in advance to ensure availability on my calendar. Because babies arrive on their own timeline, I only accept a limited number of newborn sessions each month. Booking during your second trimester allows you to relax knowing your photographer is secured.

Once the baby arrives, we simply confirm the session date — easy and stress-free.

A Note to Expecting Moms in York, PA

These early days pass in a blur of tiny fingers, soft eyelashes, and sleepy stretches. In-home newborn sessions allow you to stay comfortable while capturing your baby in the most meaningful setting — your own home. York, PA newborn photography is about more than posing a baby — it’s about preserving your family’s story in the space where it unfolds.
