Wyndridge Farms Fall engagement sessions are glorious because the landscape is at its peak and the views are stunning! Jake and Rhiannon are planning a fall 2022 and wanted a similar look and feel to their wedding and engagement images. With Rhiannons red hair this is her season – just beautiful!

During the Wyndridge Farms Fall engagement session, we explored the property, chatted about their wedding plans, and brainstormed locations for their day of portraits.

Is it best to do your engagement session at your wedding venue? There are pros and cons to having your engagement session at your venue:

Pros:

  • Clarifying what you love most about your venue: A big advantage for your photographer is to see the location through your eyes and dream and plan with you on the day of portrait locations.
  • Maximizing your investment:  often venues are only open for exclusive couples and not the general public, so when you book a venue utilizing it for more than one day extends your investment and gives you more time to enjoy the location.
  • In-person planning: I advise that if a couple is going to their wedding venue arrive early and use the time to make decisions that are best made in person.

Cons:

  • Portrait Similarities: IF you are someone that wants a lot of portrait variety it can feel too similar and sometimes not be as visually interesting. But if you want continuity in your portraits overall this is perfect.

Wyndridge Farms is one of my favorite venues because the staff is spectacular and it’s so beautiful year round! Are you a Wyndridge bride? Contact me to learn more about our wedding packages!
