A spring Melhorn Manor Wedding
Spring can often bring rain, and this wedding had some “lucky showers”. It did not disrupt anything, because of the wonderful venue with many indoor options and pretty overhangs and porches. THE COUPLE
Alex and Richanda were a joy to work with! Richanda has been a friend for years, working at a venue that we both work at often. When she got engaged, she was thrilled and asked me to capture their engagement session and wedding. I was thrilled! You may remember their beautiful fall engagement session from the blog. THE VENUE
Melhorn Manor was a wonderful venue for this day, especially because of the rain. With it being so touch and go with the weather, they moved the ceremony inside. It is a beautiful bright and fresh indoor option that still has the rustic feel they loved. Thankfully, the rain did stop for beautiful outdoor photos throughout the day.
FIRST LOOK
Doing a first look saved this wedding schedule. They had many special moments from gift exchanges with the entire bridal party, very large family portraits, a large bridal party, and many requests for bride and groom portraits. We did almost all of their portraits pre-ceremony during the rain. After the ceremony when the rain stopped, we took the opportunity and did even more outside! It would have been very hectic
